Bogliasco not want wind turbines? No protest This is the provocative title of the article by Franco Crosiglia published today in The Journal and that you can read below, followed by another 3 on the same subject published www.levantenews . com.
agree with much of what is written but not the part where the author states "... it was assenti non solo tutte le sigle ambientaliste, da Italia Nostra al Wwf, ma anche i cittadini.
For example the following is an excerpt from the minutes of a conference called 'The landscape under attack. The issue of wind ', which was held last year in Palermo:
According to former French President, Valery Giscard d'Estaing: "The truth is that the wind has attacked the European landscape in a clandestine manner. The energy has little or nothing, because it can be produced by other methods just as clean, starting from the sun. The problem is that behind the wind is a powerful financial lobbies. And it is our duty, is a duty of free men remove this lobby ".
" The meeting today is very important - said the former French president - and I am pleased today to be in Sicily, which are very close, because my grandfather of Norman origin just moved to this island. The problem of wind the whole of Europe. What we need now is information. In France, a high percentage of citizens is in favor of wind energy. Why is clean energy. In reality, it does not create wealth, not create jobs, disfigures the landscape and leave the area so much concrete. Remember that it is the sun that warms the hearts of men. Our future is in solar. "
"With today's convention, in Palermo - said the president of Our Italy, Carlo Ripa di Meana - ending the isolation of those who, for years, is fighting against the havoc caused by wind turbines. We must say stop to the destruction of the landscape. And the same goes for wind turbines off shore.
those municipalities have done well in Sicily who were against the construction of wind farms in the sea. It would be more environmental disasters. "
a "dubious technology" spoke Carlo Alberto Pinelli, honorary president of the Mountain Wilderness Italy.
"The risk - he said - is that entire hilly landscapes of our country be swept away by the wind turbines. All in the name of a scandalous disproportion between costs and benefits. It would destroy the landscape, the loss of cultural places and people, in exchange for little energy that could be produced by other methods. "
Rosa Filippini, president of Friends of the Earth, has focused on diseconomy of wind farms. "A typical wind farm of 10 MW - he explained - require 10 towers and 20 acres, compared to a 400 MW gas power plant that occupies approximately 5 hectares. With wind power to generate the same amount of electricity of the gas plant (3 million 20 000 MW per year) would need a thousand towers 770 MW each, occupying about 3 000 and 500 hectares.
Also we are not talking in northern Sardinia, or rather, the Canary Islands: with us, probably, the blades were often still with a yield even lower than the already mediocre Italian average.
Finally I wish to express My doubts about the benefits for our community.
When I read the amount of € 10 000 per year I immediately thought there was a misprint of one or two zeros because I could not believe that on average each bogliaschino touched the equivalent of a medium-small ice cream a year (as long as inflation does not erode the purchasing power of even this small change).
Returning to the title of Il Giornale ("no protest") I think it's easy to predict that if for reasons less serious committees and groups have sprung up to protest early this leads also to boycott this realization.
Bogliasco not want wind turbines? No protest
Franco Crosiglia Bogliasco converts wind, but in total silence.
"One of the most beautiful landscapes of Liguria which must be preserved and certainly not destroyed by the towers of steel," the adviser acts in response to opposition Adelio Peruzzi Pastorino that explains the details of the agreement. "This is a private project to be built on a private area which since 1997 has been designated by the region as being suitable to the exploitation of wind energy. Even if the plant must obtain permission from the landscape and environmental agencies, "the mayor pressed to list the benefits to the municipality: 10 000 euro per year for events and 3 per cent of the energy produced.
«Il Comune ha preso una decisione che inciderà sul nostro panorama for decades in complete indifference of the population, "the disappointment of the local historical Prospero Schiaffino. Even if it were not a priori rejects the project: "I would have possibly done this on a public and a public tender, but after a careful cost-benefit analysis with the people." But, for now, there has been neither see nor hear. Apart from a few scattered grumbles in the wind ("blowing in the wind," he said Bob Dylan) that soon will break the giant blades.
Bogliasco also approves wind turbines
Consuelo Pallavicini
After Sori, including the City Council Bogliasco approved by a majority that the Convention assigns to the company "Asja Ambiente SpA Italy in Turin the installation of five wind turbines on Mount Cornu, under the road Uscio Appearance-where, for 300 meters upstream and downstream, there is a constraint that prohibits installation and construction. Convention signed in the dark, because it is not explained by the size of the stems that hold the blades, or, in decibels, the noise pollution.
And the environmental impact? Pastorino Luca says the mayor: "I will assess the Province. We will comply with the requirements." But it seems there are not. The opposition has asked to issue a call for tenders from companies interested all'installazione.
Motivo la concessione di 30 anni + 30 per l'installazione di pale eoliche for the exploitation of the wind. The City will receive € 10,000 to organize local events, 3% of the proceeds from the sale of energy, 3% from the sale of green certificates (who buy the oil companies as "penance" in compensation for what they produce and earn with their fuel). The City will encourage and to avoid any decision that could hinder the progress of: an agreement - as it appears to a superficial reading - that is constrained in several respects. The blades will also be installed in the municipalities of Sori and perhaps Pieve Ligure, Mount Cornua.
to pay the negative effects of the serious environmental impact and noise pollution that produce the blades, will be all the municipalities in the Golfo Paradiso. Nobody has so far raised against this questionable installation. Ben will be alternative energy, but not those that cause a high environmental impact.
Sori-Bogliasco: wind turbines on Mount Cornua
Mark Massa
Other than environmental park along the main Out-Appearance. The absence of trees will now be compensated from the noisy and unsightly wind turbines on Mount Cornua that arise in private land which falls in a bipartisan and in the towns of Sori Bogliasco. For the moment, the antennas will be two, but soon to be five. The process of practice going on for over a year and arrived Tuesday in city council Bogliasco for approval. Then the project will move to the Conference of the services - seems obvious - to approve. A Fistful of Euros of savings of the two municipalities is sacrificed to private gain of the landscape of the Golfo Paradiso. Environmentalists are silent.
Mayor Sori Luigi Castagnola clearly explains the situation: "The practice was launched in 2009 and we as a municipality are in favor because we have an economic advantage with a supply of alternative energy. The company that installed wind turbines in different places of Italy, with regard to the Liguria has focused on our territory in agreement with the private leasing the land. It 'was placed a meter wind data found encouraging. The Province has carried out surveys of the sea and found that the blades do not provide an environmental impact. The permit, however, will give the region ".
In the area there is a constraint placed by the national law that prevents any installation to three hundred meters upstream and downstream Parkway Uscio-Appearance, but it seems that, given the constraints on energy saving do not count. Even if you ruin the view of the frame surrounding the Golfo Paradiso, already compromised by the antennas of the Portofino Rai and those installed on upstream bands. At worst there is no end.
