'(+150) Vision: Source and Power. Energy through the Generations'. This is the leitmotif which has inspired the artists who participated in the third edition of the Terna Award for Contemporary Art in 2003, on display from today until January 14 at the Temple of Hadrian in Rome. Works that hail 2011 as the first contemporary metaphors of energy on a vision 150 years of Italian history.
The exhibition will be 'open to the public every day from 10 to 20, with free entry: a journey through the works of emerging artists and big that celebrated the power of vision, intuition, la capacita' di proiettare se stessi e gli altri nel futuro, prendendo spunto al contempo dall'esempio storico di visione, quella dei nostri padri che nel 1861 hanno intuito, originato e dato vita all'Unita' d'Italia. In particolare, le tre opere di Liliana Moro, Riccardo Previdi, "Ciriaca+Erre" saranno esposte quali riflessione intuitiva e non didascalica sulla bandiera. "alTERNAtiva" e' il nome della menzione speciale loro assegnata, nome che riassume l'idea che la bandiera, a volte scontata, possa invece essere riletta e possa ritrasmettere la sua energia originaria.
Le opere dei vincitori della Terza edizione del Premio Terna per l'arte contemporanea sono: per la categoria Terawatt, Ettore Spalletti con l'opera "Torso". Per la categoria Gigawatt, Andrea Nacciarriti con l'opera "Boundaries", Francesca Grilli con "Effluvia", Marco Fedele di Catrano con "Senza Titolo". Per la categoria Megawatt, Giancarlo Norese, con l'opera "Precarious Home", Davide Tranchina "Big Bang #1", Paolo Meoni con "Unita' residenziale d'osservazione". Per il premio Musei, Marinella Senatore, categoria Gigawatt, con l'opera "Generation" e ZimmerFrei, categoria Megawatt, con "Tomorrow is the question". Per il premio on line, Yiquian Zhao con l'opera "C'e', non c'e', il tempo" Per la menzione speciale "alTERNAtiva" Liliana Moro con l'opera "E lucevan le stelle", a Riccardo Previdi con l'opera "Test (Parrot), 2010" e Ciriaca+Erre with the work "Changing is natural."
Since its inception, the Award has raised the participation of more than 9,000 creations of authors from all over Italy and abroad, confirming the main platform on the contemporary cultural 'Italian, discovering new talent and energy of the Big. The winners of the previous two editions have exhibited and flown with Terna Award in Rome, New York and Shanghai.
The exhibitions have attracted more than 70 thousand visitors and have welcomed the opening night of the world elite of Italian and international institutions and businesses. With the prize, all the winning artists have started or expanded their own path of emergence through participation in events related to the institutional and artistic business world.
